Paul Daniel Freyle, guitarist for Kiss, has passed away at the age of 72

American guitarist Paul Daniel Frehley, one of the founders of the legendary rock band Kiss, has died at the age of 72. Frehley, who performed as the character Space Ace, joined Kiss in 1972 and became a key member, creating such hits as “Cold Gin” and “Shock Me.” At the end of September, he canceled a performance due to an injury sustained in a fall in the studio, and on October 11, he canceled all concerts until the end of 2025 due to health reasons.

Frehley remained an unrivaled performer on stage and was known for his flamboyant style. After leaving Kiss in 1982 to work on his personal project, Frehley's Comet, he returned to the band from 1996 to 2002. Recently, he pursued a solo career and released the album 10,000 Volts in 2024.
