Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin addressed his fan Olena Napkhanyuk in Ukrainian and mentioned the war in Ukraine. The artist thanked the fan after she attended his concert and hinted at the possibility of performing in Ukraine, which sparked lively discussion among his fans.
On June 12, Ricky Martin held a concert in Chisinau, which was attended by Ukrainian fan Olena Napkhanyuk and her mother. The young woman shared how Martin’s music helps her stay strong during the war in Ukraine.
“I’m from Ukraine and have been listening to Ricky Martin’s songs every day since I was 4 years old. His music helps me stay strong and get through the war my country has been going through for the past 4.5 years. Thank you for the joy, energy, and hope that your songs bring into my life,” the comment reads.
The singer himself responded to this comment. He posted a story on his Instagram page addressing Olena Napkhanyuk. The artist wrote the message in Ukrainian with the help of a translator.
The artist also included a screenshot of Olena Napkhanyuk’s comment in his story. He thanked the fan for coming to his concert. The singer was glad to know that his music is helping fans from Ukraine during the war. Notably, the singer did not use the word “war,” but referred to it as “difficult times.” “Olena, thank you so much! I’m so glad you were able to come to the concert and that you enjoyed it. But the most important thing is knowing that my music is helping you during these difficult times,” he noted.
At the same time, Ricky Martin spoke about a possible concert in Ukraine. He expressed hope that he would be able to come to our country to perform. “I hope that soon I’ll be able to visit Ukraine and bring my concert there. Hugs,” Martin wrote.
