Gorbunov explained why Ponomarev and Dzidzio stopped performing together
Ukrainian TV host and entertainer Yuriy Gorbunov explained why Oleksandr Ponomariov and Mykhailo Khoma (Dzydzio) haven’t been performing together lately. According to him, the reason for the creative hiatus is not a conflict, but rather each artist’s busy solo projects.
The host noted that for nearly three years, they had been touring Ukraine nonstop, repeatedly visiting the same cities for charity concerts.
“Sasha, Misha, and I traveled all over Ukraine for almost three years without a break. We traveled the length and breadth of the country, even visiting some cities two or three times. But each of us also has our own creative journey and our own solo projects,” Gorbunov said.
At the same time, he emphasized that their joint creative project is not over. According to him, the artists continue to hold charity events and raise funds for the Ukrainian military.
Gorbunov announced that several more joint charity performances are planned for the fall, though they will no longer take the form of large-scale concert tours. He attributed this to the participants’ busy schedules: he is kicking off a new season of *The Voice of Ukraine*, Ponomarev is embarking on his own tour, and Dzidzio is working on solo projects.
The host also recounted how their creative trio came to be. According to him, he and Mykhailo Khoma are neighbors, and he and Oleksandr Ponomariov have been friends for many years. The group finally came together after a charity concert for border guards in Khmelnytskyi.
It was then, according to Gorbunov, that their joint trips to military units began. Later, Ponomarev wrote the song “On Land, in the Air, and at Sea,” which the three artists perform together, and they also shot a music video for it. The host emphasized that despite a hiatus from major tours, their joint project will continue.
