Selena Gomez has intrigued fans with a new look for her character Mabel in the series *Murder in the Building*. The actress is currently filming the sixth season of the show in London and posted photos and videos on Instagram showing her with copper-red hair.
Gomez didn’t reveal any plot details, but the caption hinted that something unexpected is happening on set.
“Wild things are happening with ‘Killing in a Building’ while I’m enjoying London,” she wrote.
It’s still unclear whether the actress actually dyed her hair or if it’s just a wig for the role. Still, this is one of the most noticeable changes to her look in recent years.
The last time Gomez experimented so radically with her hair color was in 2021, when she went platinum blonde. She later returned to a darker shade, but in an interview with Vogue, she admitted that she liked being blonde and the feeling of a new look.
“I recently went blonde, and it was so much fun. I think when I’m blonde, I definitely look more like the character. I felt like I could do crazy hair looks, try something new with makeup, and it was so much fun. I think it was hard to maintain for a while, but I felt so cool and daring. It was a whole phase I went through. To be honest, I miss it—I won’t lie. Blonde Selena isn’t gone for good, I can tell you that,” Gomez said.
Filming for the sixth season of “Murder in One Building” began last month. At the time, the actress shared a photo with her co-stars, including Steve Martin and Martin Short. As a reminder, the series follows three neighbors who investigate mysterious murders while also hosting a true crime podcast. In the new season, the action partly takes place in London.
