Ukrainian celebrities reacted to Russia's massive attack on Kyiv on August 5
Following one of the most intense Russian attacks on Kyiv and the surrounding region on the night of August 5—which claimed the lives of 17 people and left 44 injured—Ukrainian artists expressed their condolences to the families of the victims and called on the world to step up its support for Ukraine.
Stars of the Ukrainian entertainment industry reacted to yet another Russian attack on Kyiv, expressing their condolences to the victims and those injured on their social media accounts.
TV host Anatoliy Anatolich posted a photo of the capital in flames and wrote:
“My beloved Kyiv! My condolences to all those affected.”
TV host Lesya Nikityuk also expressed her condolences and shared a map showing the airstrike on Kyiv and the surrounding region.
“Many wounded and dead… My condolences,” she noted.
Singer and producer Hennadiy Viter responded with an emotional post:
“Evil doesn’t disappear; it just becomes more aggressive. But after darkness, there will always be light. Friends, let’s hang in there!”
Actress Natalka Denysenko admitted that after the nighttime shelling, she’s finding it hard to return to her normal routine.
“It’s hard to get up at 6 a.m. to go to work after a ballistic attack. To be honest, I haven’t even checked the news—my mental state is on the brink because of this survival mode,” she wrote on Instagram.
As a reminder, eight people were killed in the Brovary district while waiting for a train as a result of a Russian attack.
As a result of a nighttime Russian missile attack on the night of August 5, production and logistics facilities belonging to the company “Epicenter” sustained significant damage. One employee was killed, and three others were injured.
As a result of a Russian drone attack on August 4 in Dnipro, a warehouse belonging to the company “Biosfera”—which was part of a 20,000-square-meter warehouse complex—was completely destroyed.
