Barristers won the court case involving the chief of staff of the Kyiv City State Administration against law enforcement officials
The Barristers team, which represented the interests of Dmytro Zagumenny, Chief of Staff of the Kyiv City State Administration, won the case against law enforcement agencies regarding the protection of honor, dignity, and professional reputation, as well as the dissemination of false information in the context of criminal proceedings.
The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv fully granted the claim against the Office of the Prosecutor General, the National Police of Ukraine, the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv, and the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
The court found the law enforcement agencies’ allegations regarding the allegedly non-official nature of Zagumenny’s business trips and the possible forgery of documents to be unfounded and ordered the defendants to refute this information.
Yuriy Radzievsky, a lawyer with Barristers, represented the Chief of Staff of the Kyiv City State Administration in court.
“At the time, these allegations served as the basis for my public discrediting and caused reputational damage not only to me personally but also to the city government as a whole. That is precisely why I decided to defend my name and my professional reputation through legal means—in court,” Zagumenny noted.
According to him, after examining the evidence and arguments of both sides, the court concluded that the information disseminated by law enforcement agencies was untrue.
“Any accusations must be based on established facts, and law enforcement agencies must treat the information they disseminate on their own behalf with due responsibility,” he emphasized.

The “Barristers” legal team, represented by partner Andriy Yosypov, secured a victory in the case of intelligence officer Roman Chervinsky. The court accepted the attorney’s arguments and significantly reduced his bail.
