Berlinskaya named those responsible for Ukraine's lack of preparedness for war
A meeting of the Verkhovna Rada’s Temporary Investigative Commission, which addresses issues of defense, anti-corruption policy, and human rights compliance during martial law, took place in Kyiv. One of the speakers, volunteer Maria Berlinska, accused all post-2014 administrations of failing to prepare for war.
This was reported by a UA.News correspondent.
Berlinska: Veterans of the OUN-UPA have long said that Russia is an age-old enemy. Furthermore, I personally did not believe until 2014 that Russia would invade. It was only after 2014 that I realized there would be a full-scale invasion, and that this was just the beginning. I believe those who are to blame are the ones who built such a cronyistic, corrupt, and oligarchic system in the first place. Those who are to blame are the ones who brought the “Russian World” into Ukraine, particularly into Odesa—people like Oleksiy Honcharenko and the Party of Regions.
Goncharenko: Who else is to blame for Ukraine not being prepared for war? Can you give me names? Not general assessments, but specific names. We’ve heard from Oleksiy Goncharenko. Who else, besides Goncharenko, is to blame for the country not being ready for war? I’m asking for names.
Berlinska: Specific names—Goncharenko’s colleagues in the Party of Regions, in particular, for example, Medvedchuk, whom I believe was one of the leaders of the Russian campaign.
Goncharenko: Then let me ask you a question. Was Andriy Yermak to blame for the fact that the country was not ready for war in 2022?
Berlinska: I believe this is the responsibility of everyone who was in power, everyone there, during those terms. Including Oleksiy Goncharenko, Andriy Yermak, specifically Andriy Bohdan, specifically the presidents, government officials, and deputies of all terms who were responsible for defense. I personally have been sounding the alarm since 2014.
Prior to this, Berlinska had categorically refused to speak with Goncharenko in the Rada, as he had previously supported the “Russian World” in Odesa and had not apologized to her for the false accusation of ties to Mindich.
Meanwhile, aviation engineer and drone specialist Yuriy Kasyanov, while testifying at a meeting of the temporary investigative commission, called FirePoint’s claim to produce 7,000 ballistic missiles per year a technical absurdity.
