Over the past 24 hours, there have been 62 engagements on the front lines; the hottest sectors are Pokrovsk and Huliaipole

Since the start of the day, Russian troops have attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 62 times. The heaviest fighting is taking place in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors, where the enemy is concentrating its main efforts.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook, releasing operational information as of 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13.

Russian artillery continues to shell border areas. Today, Sopych, Korenok, Potapivka, Yastrubshchyna, Baranivka, Malushyne, Ulanove, Bachivsk, and Peremoha in Sumy Oblast, as well as Senkivka and Hirs’k in Chernihiv Oblast, came under enemy fire.

The invaders also struck Bachivsk with airstrikes.

One combat engagement took place in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions. In this sector of the front, the Russians shelled settlements and positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces 47 times, including four times with multiple launch rocket systems. They also dropped three guided aerial bombs.

In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the Russian army launched eight assaults on defenders’ positions in the Lyman and Starytsia areas.

In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders today repelled an enemy attempt to advance in the Borivska Andriivka area.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops attempted to advance in the Drobysheve area, but were unsuccessful.

In the Sloviansk direction, the invaders have not yet launched active offensive operations today.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled two enemy attacks in the Nikiforivka area.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian forces launched seven attacks near Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, and Stepanivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the Russians attempted 19 times to dislodge the Defense Forces from their positions in the areas of Novopavlivka, Vilne, Kucherevy Yar, Bilytske, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Udachne, Serhiivka, Novomykolaivka, and Novopidhorodne. Three firefights are still ongoing.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the invaders have not yet carried out any active operations today.

In the Huliaipole sector, the Defense Forces successfully repelled 15 enemy attacks in the areas of Dobropillia, Zlagoda, Pryvillia, Vozdvyzhenska, Zaliznychne, Verkhnia Tersa, Tsvitkove, Staroukrainka, and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv sector, the Russian army attempted to advance five times in the areas of Shcherbakiv and Stepnogorsk.

In the Dnipro sector, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled two enemy assaults toward the Antonivsky Bridge.

In other sectors of the front, the situation has not changed significantly. The Russians are not making any new attempts to advance.

The Ukrainian military is wearing down the invaders along the entire line of contact and in the rear.
