DTEK Restored Power to More Than 1.2 Million Households in One Week

During the first week of August, DTEK energy workers restored power to more than 1.2 million households in the Donetsk, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk regions that had been affected by Russian shelling.

In total, from August 3 to 9, power was fully or partially restored to 436 communities.

The largest volume of restoration work was carried out in the Donetsk region, where power was restored to 774,300 households. In the Odesa region, power was restored to 227,800 households, and in the Dnipropetrovsk region, to 206,600 households.

Repair work was carried out immediately after receiving permits from the military and emergency responders.

In the Grobina municipality in Latvia, a battery energy storage system park with a capacity of 100 MW and a storage capacity of 200 MWh will be built. The project is being implemented by the energy infrastructure company SIA Enersense on behalf of the Latvian energy storage company Liepāja ESS, according to LSM English.

At the initiative of the Ministry of Energy, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a decision that changes the procedure for compiling lists of critical facilities for electricity distribution.
