A former Favbet employee accused the company of failing to pay salaries and of layoffs
Daria Zhurbenko, the former brand manager at Favbet, has alleged widespread violations of employees’ rights. According to her, the company’s security guards were fired for taking shelter during an air raid alert. The remaining employees are being offered old equipment at the price of new equipment instead of cash.
As stated in Zhurbenko’s post on LinkedIn, current employees are forced to undergo polygraph tests to receive their salaries, and communicating with fired colleagues or making comments leads to dismissal without pay. After the story gained public attention, the promised payment option was revoked for the author herself. The manager noted that company representatives explained these sanctions by citing the Security Service of Ukraine’s (SBU) monitoring of social media posts, and she stated her willingness to speak with the media.
