Gal Gadot was seriously injured while filming the thriller *Run*
Gal Gadot suffered a serious injury while filming the new thriller *Run*, in which she had to spend practically the entire movie running through the streets of London. To prepare for the role, the actress even trained with an Olympic coach, but she injured her feet due to excessive strain.
In the film, Gadot plays Maia Martin, a successful London lawyer whose life changes dramatically after she learns of her son’s kidnapping during a morning run.
So the heroine has to run literally throughout the entire film—through the streets, along roads, across railroad tracks, and through various neighborhoods of London.
For the role, the actress had to work hard on her running technique. Gadot trained with an Olympic coach who taught her how to run properly and make her movements second nature.
However, months of intense training took their toll.
“I finished the movie on crutches,” the actress said.
According to Gadot, at one point she broke her feet, which meant that some scenes had to be reshot after she had recovered.
After several months of constant running, the actress admitted that she eventually needed a break.
“Crutches are a nice accessory, but not for me,” Gadot joked.
The plot centers on Maia Marten, a successful lawyer from London who, during her usual morning run, receives the shocking news that her son has been kidnapped.
This sets off a tense chase through the city, as the heroine tries to find her child and unravel the circumstances of his disappearance.
After filming wrapped, Gal Gadot has already recovered and returned to her normal life.
The thriller *Run* will premiere on September 2 on Prime Video.
The film was directed by Kevin Macdonald. Alongside Gal Gadot, the film stars Damian Lewis, Rory Wilmot, Alfred Enoch, and other actors.
This was reported by People magazine.
Earlier, at the D23 event, Lucasfilm unveiled the first trailer for the second season of the series “Star Wars: Ahsoka.” The new season is set to premiere on January 20, 2027. Also at D23, footage was shown from the upcoming film *Star Wars: Starfighter*, starring Ryan Gosling.
