Consumers have good reason to be skeptical when a familiar bathroom product acquires a camera. Electric toothbrushes already have motors, pressure sensors, timers and connected apps. Adding optics, lighting and image processing increases cost and creates new questions about privacy, maintenance and reliability. Those safeguards address the most obvious concern, but buyers should still expect clear controls, visible status and continued software support. A bathroom camera should collect no more information than the cleaning feature requires.

The strongest next-generation product will also make its benefit easy to verify without turning every brushing session into a data exercise.
