Chinese scientists create new substance to combat diabetes
Chinese and international biologists have jointly developed a peptide called Aar2, which experimental studies on mice showed enhances glucose uptake in the liver and prevents the development of insulin resistance—a key issue in diabetes.

The peptide replicates the beneficial effect of the ATG7 protein on cells by improving tissue sensitivity to insulin. This discovery holds potential to aid in managing type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
