Counteroffensive in the Oleksandrivka area: Ukrainian Armed Forces liberate 9 settlements
During a counteroffensive in the Oleksandrivka area, Ukrainian troops liberated nine settlements and completely cleared three more of Russian occupiers.
This was reported by the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Airborne Assault Troops.
As of March 25, Ukrainian forces have regained control of approximately 440 km² of territory. The counteroffensive has been ongoing since January 29, 2026.
During this time, Russian forces suffered 3,676 casualties, including 2,653 killed in action, 1,023 wounded, and 11 captured.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed 565 pieces of equipment and weaponry, including 8 tanks, 13 armored vehicles, 141 vehicles, and 250 artillery systems. Separately, reports indicate the destruction of 1,283 drones and 140 UAV control stations.
The Oleksandrivka sector covers areas on the border of the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. The main objective of the operation is to halt the enemy’s advance and push them back beyond the administrative borders of the regions.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders have repelled a large-scale offensive by Russian occupiers, recording a total of 158 combat engagements across the entire front line.
As a reminder, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of high activity by Russian drones.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine also thwarted a Russian offensive planned for March.
