On June 12, French President Emmanuel Macron will host a special video conference with the G7 countries, China, and the International Monetary Fund, focused on addressing global economic imbalances and stimulating economic growth.
The event will be titled the “Global Convergence for Growth Summit.”
It will be attended by representatives from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, China, and the International Monetary Fund.
In addition, representatives from countries invited to the G7 summit, including Brazil, India, South Korea, Kenya, and Egypt, will join the discussion.
The Élysée Palace noted that the conference “signals a renewed willingness on the part of China, the United States, and Europe to participate in a coordinated economic approach.”
The French administration also emphasized that “addressing global macroeconomic imbalances is a priority” for President Macron.
