Off-road driving has been banned in Yavoriv National Park in Lviv Oblast

The administration of the Yavoriv National Nature Park has imposed a ban on the use of cars, motorcycles, and ATVs off public roads. The decision was made to protect natural complexes and sites within the nature reserve from damage and destruction.

Under the new restrictions, off-road driving and any movement of motorized vehicles outside designated trails within the park are now strictly prohibited. 

The park administration reminded visitors that violations of the protected area’s regulations are subject to legal liability and urged them to adhere to the rules of environmentally responsible recreation.

Security personnel at the Carpathian Biosphere Reserve stopped a group of violators who were attempting to ride sport motorcycles to the summit of Mount Petros, which is 2,020 meters high. 

The Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft law to strengthen administrative liability for offenses committed in protected areas. This was reported by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources.
