The new 100-hryvnia note will feature the slogan "Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!"
Starting June 16, the National Bank of Ukraine will put modified 100-hryvnia banknotes into circulation. The main change will be the addition of the patriotic slogan “Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the Heroes!” on the back of the banknote.
The new inscription will be placed in the upper right corner of the banknote. At the same time, all other design and security features will remain the same as on the 2014-model banknotes.
The modified banknotes will begin to be distributed to banks, cash-handling companies, and institutions that work with cash. They will gradually enter everyday circulation alongside the old banknotes.
The National Bank emphasized that there is no need to specifically exchange existing 100-hryvnia notes. Banknotes from previous years of issue remain legal tender and will continue to be used without any restrictions.
The introduction of the updated banknote completes the process of modifying the entire hryvnia banknote series, which the NBU began in 2024.
