Three cars collided in the Ternopil region
A traffic accident involving three vehicles occurred in the Ternopil region, resulting in injuries to three people, including a young child.
The accident occurred on August 7 at around 3:30 p.m. in the village of Kolodne on the Domaneve–Kovel–Chernivtsi–Terebleche highway.
According to preliminary information from law enforcement, the driver of a Toyota veered into oncoming traffic while making a turn and collided with a Peugeot. A BMW traveling behind then crashed into the Peugeot.
Police and emergency services responded to the scene of the accident.
As a result of the collision, the Peugeot driver was trapped inside the vehicle.
“As a result of the collision, the driver of the Peugeot was trapped inside the vehicle. State Emergency Service personnel freed him, after which the man was hospitalized,” police reported.
The Toyota driver and a young passenger in that car were also taken to a medical facility.
Photos released by law enforcement show that one of the cars rolled onto its side after the accident.
Police are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident. Law enforcement officials are also considering whether to open a criminal case under Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
