Yuriy Koryavchenkov regularly visits Spain during the war

Yuriy Koryavchenkov, a member of parliament from the “Servant of the People” faction, has traveled to Spain on multiple occasions in recent months.

A journalistic investigation has revealed that the lawmaker visits a gated residential complex where his wife purchased property.

According to sources cited by the publication “Ukrainska Pravda,” the MP’s latest trip outside Ukraine was recorded on March 14.

Koryavchenkov traveled to the Spanish town of Blanes, where investigators later spotted his car near the family’s residence.

“Sources claim that both the lawmaker’s family and Koryavchenko himself can often be seen on the grounds of the gated community. However, the lawmaker’s wife usually wears either sunglasses or a hood,” reported Mykhailo Tkach.

Journalists managed to speak with the lawmaker directly on one of the Spanish streets. Yuriy Koryavchenkov explained his stay abroad as an official one-week vacation at his own expense.

In addition to his current trip, the deputy also mentioned his visit to Spain in February, which, according to him, was classified as a business trip. Questions regarding the family’s property were also discussed during the meeting.

The lawmaker confirmed that his wife, who previously worked as his assistant, had indeed purchased an apartment in Spain.

He promised to include this information in the relevant declaration, but stated that he currently does not know the cost of the property.

Koryavchenko’s wife herself was more forthcoming regarding the financial aspects of purchasing real estate abroad. She noted that the property was purchased using a bank loan.

“We took out a loan for the apartment; it costs 150,000 euros,” the MP’s wife clarified during a conversation with media representatives.

This amount and the source of funds for the down payment may come under scrutiny by anti-corruption authorities.

As a reminder, a group of MPs has been charged with vote-buying in the Rada.

Additionally, the High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a preventive measure on MP Yuriy Kisel in the case involving paid voting.
