Russia has halted sales of 65 million bottles of Armenian Jermuk water
Rospotrebnadzor has blocked the sale of a large shipment of the Armenian mineral water brand "Jermuk," totaling 64.5 million bottles.
The reason for imposing this strict ban was the discovery by experts of dangerous levels of chemical substances and ions exceeding regulatory limits.

The violation of technical regulations was recorded in the aggressor country’s state quality control system.
The relevant agency has already sent an official order to the operator of the state “Honest Mark” labeling system to immediately halt retail and wholesale trade of this product throughout the entire territory of the Russian Federation.
Based on the results of laboratory tests, experts identified significant deviations from current safety standards for medicinal and table beverages.
The seized water was found to contain significantly elevated levels of bicarbonate, ions, chlorides, and sulfates, which is a direct violation of regulations.
Rospotrebnadzor specifically noted that such non-compliant chemical composition “may lead to misconceptions regarding therapeutic properties and negatively affect health.”
