Nazar Chepurnyi won the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup

A Ukrainian gymnast won the overall season title following a successful performance in the vault at the final stage of the World Cup in Osijek, Croatia.

This was reported by the publication "Champion."

In the final competition in Croatia, Nazar scored 14.583 points, earning him the bronze medal. Britain’s Harry Hepworth celebrated victory in the stage, while the silver went to Armenia’s Artur Davtyan. However, thanks to two gold medals won in the previous stages in Baku and Cottbus, Chepurnyi secured first place in the season’s final standings.

This triumph confirms Nazar’s status as one of the world’s leading athletes in the vault ahead of major international competitions. Currently, the Ukrainian national team continues its preparations for the European Championships, where Chepurnyi is considered one of the top contenders for top honors. It is important to note that representatives from Russia and Belarus did not participate in these competitions as full-fledged members, which allowed the focus to remain on the athletic competition among the world’s leading athletes.

Ukrainian gymnast Nazar Chepurnyi won the vault event at the first stage of this season’s World Cup and claimed the gold medal.

Gymnast Nazar Chepurnyi was named the best Ukrainian athlete of February after winning a gold medal in the vault at the World Cup stage in Cottbus, Germany.
