One person was killed in the Kharkiv region as a result of a Russian attack on a civilian enterprise. While extinguishing a large-scale fire and clearing the rubble, rescue workers discovered the remains of a man. The State Emergency Service reported that work at the site of the strike is ongoing. Specialists are continuing to address the aftermath of the attack and survey the area.

 

Russian troops struck a civilian enterprise near Kharkiv. The strike triggered a major fire, which rescuers spent a long time extinguishing. According to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in Kharkiv Oblast, while extinguishing the fire and clearing the damaged structures, rescue workers found body parts of a deceased man.

“The strike occurred on the premises of a civilian enterprise. While extinguishing the fire and clearing the rubble, rescue workers discovered body parts of a deceased man,” the State Emergency Service statement reads. The identity of the deceased is currently being verified. Rescue operations at the scene are ongoing.

The attack triggered a massive fire at the facility. A three-story production building with a total area of over 1,200 square meters was engulfed in flames. In addition to the facility itself, nearby structures were also damaged. State Emergency Service units are on the scene, working to address the aftermath of the strike. Rescuers continue to clear the rubble, as dangerous structures and other hazards to people working at the site may remain beneath the debris following such attacks.

The Kharkiv region remains one of the regions of Ukraine that regularly comes under Russian attack. Russian forces are targeting not only energy and industrial facilities but also civilian infrastructure and residential areas. As a result of these attacks, civilians are being killed and injured, and businesses and buildings are suffering significant damage. Law enforcement officials are documenting the aftermath of the strikes and launching investigations into possible war crimes.
