The Russians destroyed a warehouse containing supplies for refugees from Crimea with a Zircon missile
The Russian missile attack on Kyiv on the morning of June 2 dealt a severe blow to Ukrainian businesses. A Zircon missile strike completely destroyed the warehouse of the company “Ruta — Magic Potion” (RutaBalm), where recently manufactured products were stored.
The brand’s founders, Oleg and Oksana Levchenko, who are originally from Kerch, have been building their business in Ukraine for many years.
Their product is a unique Ukrainian balm containing, among other ingredients, Crimean thyme and other natural herbs. Over the years, the brand has gained recognition not only in Ukraine but also internationally, receiving a number of prestigious awards at industry competitions.
According to friends of the family, the Levchenkos have always actively supported community and charitable initiatives, helped organize Crimean events, and provided products for diplomatic gifts and charity auctions in support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Following a morning missile strike, the warehouse containing finished products was completely destroyed by fire. It was there that a batch of goods was stored, the production of which had required significant resources and months of work from the entrepreneurs.
Despite the massive losses, the family has no plans to give up and intends to rebuild the business.
Friends of the entrepreneurs emphasize that there are several ways to support the brand. First and foremost, purchase the company’s products that remain in the warehouses of retail outlets. A special fundraising campaign has also been launched to help restore production.
The story of “Ruta” has become yet another example of how Russian attacks strike not only at civilian infrastructure but also at Ukrainian businesses that continue to operate and support the country amid the war.
