"Dii" is launching a beta test of a service for the online termination of employees in the temporarily occupied territories

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine is preparing to launch a critical social service on the "Diya" portal and mobile app. It has been designed specifically for Ukrainians who, due to the temporary occupation of their region or active hostilities, have completely lost contact with their employer and are therefore unable to officially terminate their employment relationship.

Currently, the development team has officially announced a call for participants to conduct closed beta testing of the new digital tool.

The main goal of the new service is to allow citizens to resign from their previous job unilaterally and remotely, without the need to physically visit companies, institutions, or relevant government agencies. The official legal termination of the employment contract will grant affected Ukrainians full access to the entire range of public services provided by the State Employment Service. In particular, people will be able to quickly apply for monthly unemployment benefits, undergo free professional retraining, or take advantage of programs to effectively search for new jobs in territory controlled by Ukraine.

Only adult citizens of Ukraine who were officially employed at enterprises, institutions, or organizations that are currently located in the zone of temporary occupation or intense combat operations prior to or during the full-scale invasion may participate in testing the new feature. To register for the beta test program, a potential participant must meet several mandatory technical and legal criteria:

  • Possession of a verified tax identification number (RNOKPP).

  • Have a digital passport (ID card or biometric passport) uploaded directly to the “Diya” app.

  • No current official status as unemployed at the time of application.

  • No previously submitted and recorded applications for unemployment status in the system.

To join the team of testers and be among the first to try out the remote dismissal algorithm, citizens must fill out a special online registration form via the link posted on the official “Diya” social media pages and wait for confirmation from the project moderators. After successful verification of the data, instructions on the next steps will be sent to the user via their personal account or email.

This was reported by the Diia press service.

As a reminder, “Dii” has automated the renewal of employee reservations.

Ukraine has expandedonline services for veterans.
