Russia attacked Chuhuiv; a fire broke out in the city

Russian drones struck Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region, causing a fire to break out in warehouse buildings in the city center. According to preliminary reports from emergency responders, there were no casualties. 

 

On the afternoon of June 2, Russian drones attacked the city of Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region, striking warehouses located in the central part of the town. An explosion was heard at the site following the strike, causing a large-scale fire.

According to the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region, the fire covered an area of about 200 square meters, and rescue workers were forced to quickly contain the damage to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings. “On June 2, warehouse facilities in the central part of the city came under fire from the occupiers’ UAVs. The explosion caused a fire covering an area of 200 square meters. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties,” the rescue service stated in its report.

According to Galina Minayeva, head of the Chuhuiv community, the strike on the city occurred around 4:15 p.m., after which emergency services immediately began operations in the area.

According to preliminary data, no one was injured as a result of the attack, but the warehouse facilities sustained significant damage and were partially burned out, which further complicated the work of rescue workers. This was reported on Facebook by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region.
