Russia and the United States plan to build a tunnel between Chukotka and Alaska that will run under the Bering Strait.

“This is not just a tunnel—it is a physical bridge of friendship and mutually beneficial partnership that will unite the economies of the two countries,” he said.

This was announced by Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), referring to the project as an “intercontinental tunnel” and a “bridge of friendship and mutually beneficial partnership.”

The information is being reported by Russian propaganda media.
