Russian forces attacked 23 settlements in the Sumy region
Over the course of 24 hours, from the morning of April 6 to the morning of April 7, Russian forces carried out 60 strikes on 23 settlements in 14 territorial communities of Sumy region.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Facebook.
As a result of the shelling in the Velykopysarivska community, a 63-year-old man was wounded. Medical assistance was also required for four children aged 8–10 who were injured in the Sumy community during a UAV attack on the night of April 4.
The highest number of strikes was recorded in the Sumy, Shostka, and Okhtyrka districts. The enemy used mortars, artillery, FPV drones, UAVs, and guided aerial bombs.
In the Shostka community, private and apartment buildings, farm buildings, and civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged. In the Esma community, private residential homes and outbuildings were destroyed; in the Shalygino community, a private home, outbuildings, and a car were destroyed. Damage was also recorded in the Okhtyrka, Sumy, Trostyanets, and Zno-Novgorod communities.
Eight people were evacuated from border communities over the past 24 hours.
On Tuesday morning, April 7, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a targeted terrorist attack against the civilian population of the city of Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
Russian invaders are also attacking infrastructure facilities in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. Explosions are being heard in the city, and the Ukrainian Air Force has warned of drones appearing over the city.
In the Kharkiv region, Russian troops are using cluster munitions, which pose a particular threat to civilians.
