Seven more Russian regions have imposed strict limits on fuel sales

The authorities of the Novosibirsk, Belgorod, Kemerovo, Tyumen, Vologda, and Penza regions, as well as the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, have officially announced the introduction of restrictions on fuel sales at gas stations. The fuel limits were announced by the governors and regional cabinets of ministers of the Russian Federation’s constituent entities, who urged citizens not to create artificial panic.

In the Vologda region, Lukoil gas stations have set a limit of no more than 30 liters of gasoline and 60 liters of diesel fuel per vehicle, while on highways the limit is up to 200 liters of diesel. In the Belgorod Region, Rosneft gas stations have completely banned the sale of gasoline in jerry cans, while Lukoil stations have restrictions similar to those in Vologda (30 liters of gasoline / 60 liters of diesel), while “Gazprom Neft” stations have stopped selling AI-95 gasoline altogether.

In the Tyumen region, “Gazpromneft” gas stations have introduced a limit of 40 liters of gasoline and 80 liters of diesel (on highways—up to 40 liters of gasoline and up to 200 liters of diesel), and refueling into external containers and canisters has recently been strictly prohibited. In the Penza region, drivers are allowed to fill up with up to 100 liters of gasoline and 200 liters of diesel per tank. At the same time, in Kuzbass (Kemerovo Oblast), the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, and Novosibirsk Oblast, local authorities have decided not to specify exact limits, limiting themselves to calls for the public to remain calm.

The fuel crisis in Russia is intensifying: gasoline is running out at gas stations and lines are growing.

Russia has allowed lower-quality gasoline due to the fuel crisis.
