Swiss bank Postfinance suspends account of Austrian identity movement leader Martin Sellner

Austrian right-wing politician Martin Sellner announced that 116 of his bank accounts were closed due to government decisions and that 340 banks refused to open a business account for him. To open an account, he traveled to Poland, Estonia, Switzerland, Malta, and even Georgia.

As part of these difficulties, the Swiss bank Postfinance suspended the operation of his account, resulting from actions taken by Austrian and Swiss regulators. This situation highlights the challenges faced by opposition politicians in accessing financial services.

Sellner now faces the task of finding alternative ways to conduct his business and financial activities outside of the traditional banking system, which may affect the future development of his political movement
