Defense forces attacked oil refineries in Astrakhan and Yaroslavl
Last night, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out precision strikes on strategic targets within the aggressor country’s fuel and energy sector.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In particular, the AVT primary oil refining units at the Yaroslavsky oil refinery, located in the Yaroslavl region of the Russian Federation, were struck.
The targeted facility plays a critical role in the occupiers’ military machine, as it produces gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel.
The products of this plant are a vital component in supporting the logistics of the enemy army fighting against Ukraine.
In addition, the successful strike on the infrastructure of the Astrakhan gas processing plant in the Astrakhan region has been officially confirmed.
The attack caused a massive fire on the facility’s grounds, which local emergency services were unable to contain for a long time.
The Astrakhan plant is a key element of the aggressor state’s gas transportation and fuel system.
Currently, intelligence and specialized services are conducting further reconnaissance to assess the extent of the damage.
Russians have attacked the Chernihiv region with drones more than 50 times in the past 24 hours
On the border of the Chernihiv region, the scale of a forest fire caused by Russian shelling is rapidly increasing. Over the past day, the area of the fire has nearly doubled and currently stands at about 4,300 hectares.
As a reminder, a large-scale forest fire broke out in the Chernihiv region near the state border. The fire has engulfed thousands of hectares of forest, and preliminary data indicates that Russian shelling of border areas caused the blaze.
