Defense forces struck enemy air defense systems and radar stations in the Donetsk and Bryansk regions
On March 22 and during the night of March 23, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of successful operations, striking Russian air defense and radar facilities.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, combat operations took place both in the temporarily occupied territories and in the border regions of the aggressor country. In particular, in the Kurakhivka area of Donetsk Oblast, fighters from the 9th “Kairos” Battalion, part of the 414th “Madyar’s Birds” Brigade, struck a “Tor-M1” anti-aircraft missile system.
In parallel with operations on the front lines, Ukrainian forces attacked military targets in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation. A 2S6 “Tunguska” anti-aircraft gun-missile system, capable of detecting targets at a range of up to 18 km, was hit. Additionally, near the village of Suponeve in the Bryansk region, the 413th SBS Regiment struck the “Nebo-U” high-altitude radar station, which enabled the enemy to detect aircraft and cruise missiles at ranges of up to 700 km.
The successful destruction of the occupiers’ expensive equipment confirms the effectiveness of the chosen strategy of depleting Russian Federation resources using unmanned systems. The Tor-M1 complex provided air cover for ground units against air attacks, and the Nebo-U station was a key element of the enemy’s early warning system. Disabling these facilities significantly weakens the Russian Federation’s air defense capabilities in strategic areas.
As a reminder, drones attacked a strategic oil terminal in the Leningrad region.
Drones also attacked the Saratov region, where more than 60 explosions were heard.
