Shortly after noon on May 19, the Estonian Defense Forces issued an air threat warning for the southern part of the country

This was reported by ERR.

Residents of the cities of Tartu and Viru, as well as Jõgeva County, received notifications about the potential danger. Some alerts were also sent to residents of the capital, Tallinn.

According to the report, the alert concerns a possible threat from drones in the following areas:

  • Tartu
  • Jõgeva
  • Viljandi
  • Valga
  • Viru
  • Põlva

Information regarding the origin of the drones and the nature of the threat is currently unclear. Authorities are urging the public to follow official instructions and stay updated on the latest reports.

Previously, the reason for the activation of the warning system in Romania was another Russian drone attack on Ukrainian port infrastructure on the Danube. It caused an increased threat near the Romanian border.
