As a result of a hostile attack by the Russian Federation on two merchant ships flying the flags of Tanzania and Liberia, which were traveling through a maritime corridor in the Black Sea, the captain of one of the ships was killed. In total, the 11-member crew was evacuated to shore, with three people sustaining injuries.
Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, emphasized that such actions constitute a war crime against civilians, civilian shipping, and global food security.
