Kadyrov's son received a medal for his participation in the war against Ukraine
Adam Kadyrov, the 18-year-old son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, has received the medal “For Contribution to the Special Military Operation,” which is the term used in Russia to refer to the war against Ukraine. The award was presented to him by representatives of the Russian authorities.
This was reported by Russian Telegram channels.
Adam Kadyrov was presented with the award at the Rosgvardia training center in the Stavropol Krai. He received the medal from Major General Pavel Kozaev, head of the Rosgvardia Special Purpose Center.
According to Chechnya’s Deputy Prime Minister Akhmed Dudaev, the award is “recognition of the contribution” made by Kadyrov Jr. to ensuring security and supporting the so-called “special military operation.”
According to media reports, since the start of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, Adam Kadyrov has already received more than 20 different awards. Among them are the title of Hero of Chechnya, the Rosgvardia medal “For Combat Distinction,” departmental awards from law enforcement agencies, and even an award from Rosenergoatom for his contribution to the safety of nuclear power plants.
In addition, Kadyrov’s son serves as the head of the Chechen leader’s security service and oversees the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs. In 2024, he was entered into the Russian Book of Records as the youngest head of a security service for a federal subject. At the time, he was 16 years old.
