Trump Calls Emergency Cabinet Meeting on Iran – New York Post

On Wednesday, May 27, U.S. President Donald Trump will hold a Cabinet meeting at the Camp David presidential retreat. The main topic of discussion will be the sharp escalation of tensions surrounding Iran and the ongoing negotiations regarding a possible end to the military conflict.

This time, the meeting between the American leader and government officials has been moved from Washington to the official presidential retreat. All key representatives of the current administration, including the heads of relevant ministries and agencies, are expected to attend the meeting. This summit will be the 12th Cabinet meeting since Trump took office in January 2025.

The Iranian crisis will take center stage on the agenda. According to the U.S. side, the negotiation process may now be nearing a potential ceasefire agreement. At the same time, analysts note that the overall level of tension between the countries remains critically high, and the government meeting itself will take place against the backdrop of recent U.S. tactical strikes on military facilities in southern Iran.

In addition to immediate members of the administration, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, who is soon to leave her post, will join the discussions at Camp David. According to the White House, in addition to the priority issue of Iran and demands regarding the signing of the Abraham Accords, the Trump administration plans to take stock of its work so far and coordinate further steps in U.S. domestic and foreign policy.
