More than 3,000 homes have been damaged in Kryvyi Rih as a result of Russian attacks
Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion, 3,483 residential buildings in Kryvyi Rih have been damaged as a result of missile and drone attacks.
Of these, 1,752 are apartment buildings and 1,731 are single-family homes.
According to Vilkul, 1,709 apartment buildings have been restored so far.
Specifically:
- roofs have been repaired in 1,011 buildings;
- windows have been replaced in another 1,052 buildings;
- residents of nearly 1,700 single-family homes received financial assistance for housing repairs.
In 2026 alone, repair and restoration work was carried out in 159 apartment buildings.
“To date, 1,709 apartment buildings have been restored. Specifically, roofs were repaired in 1,011 buildings, and windows were replaced in another 1,052. Financial assistance has also been provided to residents for the restoration of nearly 1,700 private homes. In 2026 alone, repair and restoration work has already been completed in 159 apartment buildings. “This is a massive undertaking, carried out under very difficult conditions and with limited resources,” Vilkul wrote.
Repairs on buildings No. 5 and No. 8 on Ukrayinskoho Vidrodzhennya Street in the Saksaganskyi District are now nearly complete.
These buildings were damaged as a result of yet another attack by Russian drones. Work is also being completed on 33 neighboring apartment buildings.
In parallel with the housing restoration, affected residents are receiving financial assistance from the city budget and building materials at special aid centers.
Since the beginning of 2026, 1,785 residents of Kryvyi Rih have already received 50.3 million hryvnias in compensation.
In total, 12,596 residents have received financial support from the city since the start of the full-scale war. The total amount of payments is 451.9 million hryvnias.

As a reminder, Russian troops attacked Kherson with drones. One of the drones struck a shuttle bus in the city center, injuring one person.

In Dnipro on Friday, August 7, a World Health Organization humanitarian warehouse was destroyed as a result of an attack. There were no people on the premises at the time of the strike, and no casualties were reported.
Over the past 24 hours, the occupiers lost 1,130 soldiers and more than 400 pieces of military equipment.
In the Kherson region, one person was killed and two were wounded as a result of Russian shelling.
