Russia has released a new fake about the alleged removal of children from Ukraine

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has released a report in which it leveled a series of serious accusations against Ukraine regarding the alleged removal of children abroad and their use in various schemes. The Ukrainian side did not comment on these claims in the article, and the statements cited are based on the position of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a report on alleged “human rights violations in Ukraine,” which contains claims about the removal of Ukrainian children to EU countries and the United States, with the Russian side presenting this as systematic actions by the Ukrainian authorities; however, the evidence for these claims in the document itself is based primarily on references to media reports and the ministry’s own interpretations.

The report claims that during hostilities in the Donbas region—which Russia refers to as “occupied”—cases of children being taken out of the country were allegedly uncovered, and it also states that some documents may have been destroyed, citing individual journalistic investigations and media sources, particularly Russian ones, as references.

The Russian Foreign Ministry also claims that Ukrainian children may have been taken abroad under the guise of scientific programs, and separately mentions the topic of surrogacy, asserting that this could have been used by foreign couples for adoption; however, these claims are presented as the Russian side’s position without independent verification in the report.

Separately, the report contains statements about alleged legislative initiatives by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in the field of transplantation, as well as claims about “black market transplantation” during hostilities; however, all these formulations are part of the official position of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and are not accompanied by independent verification in the text of the report.
