In Zaporizhzhia, work has begun on installing anti-drone protective nets at public transportation stops.
These measures are intended to enhance residents’ safety during air raid alerts amid the growing threat of drone attacks.
“Work has begun at the first transit complexes. We are installing additional anti-drone protective nets to protect residents during air raid alerts,” he said.
According to the regional governor, Russian forces have intensified their drone attacks in recent weeks and are employing new strike tactics. In light of this, a special meeting was held in the region with representatives from law enforcement agencies, critical infrastructure, and relevant city and regional services.
Following the discussion, a series of decisions were made to strengthen security measures in the Zaporizhzhia region, including the installation of additional protective measures at public infrastructure facilities.
Anti-drone nets at bus stops are intended to reduce risks to the civilian population during potential drone attacks and increase the level of protection for people in crowded areas.
Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, announced the start of the work on Telegram.
