Temperatures in Ukraine will rise to 27°, and meteorologists have issued a fire warning
On Friday, June 19, mostly dry weather is expected in Ukraine, with temperatures rising to 27°C. At the same time, the fire danger is increasing in a number of regions due to weather conditions.
The weather in Ukraine will be determined by an area of slightly elevated pressure extending from Western Europe. Pressure will rise slightly, though an atmospheric front will continue to affect the southeastern part of the country. At higher altitudes over the territory, a cool, moist air mass from northern latitudes remains. Under these conditions, no precipitation is expected over most of the country; however, light, brief showers are possible in the southeast, as well as in some parts of most western and northern regions during the day. Winds will be from the northwest, and from the northeast in the south and southeast of the country, at 5–10 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will range from 11–16°, reaching up to 19° along the coast; daytime temperatures will range from 22–27°.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center has issued a warning of an extreme fire hazard. From June 19–21, this warning will be in effect in the Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions and in Crimea, and from June 20–21, it will also apply to the Rivne, Lviv, Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Kirovohrad, and Odesa regions.
On Friday, June 19, cloud cover in Kyiv will be variable. No precipitation at night; during the day, light, brief showers in some areas. The wind will be from the northwest at 5–10 m/s. Temperatures across the region will range from 11–16° at night to 22–27° during the day; in Kyiv, temperatures will range from 13–15° at night to 25–27° during the day, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center released a forecast for the second month of spring, according to which temperatures and precipitation will remain within the climatic norm.
After a cold winter, Ukrainians are looking forward to spring warmth, but April will bring not only sunshine but also weather “swings.”
