Russia has launched a disinformation campaign regarding the destruction of Mirnograd

Russia has launched a disinformation campaign regarding the destruction of Mirnograd

The Russian Federation is conducting a large-scale information campaign in an attempt to shift the blame onto Ukraine for the destruction of Mirnograd in the Donetsk region and the deaths of civilians.

According to the Center for Public Diplomacy, Russia has enlisted a propaganda organization that mimics the activities of human rights defenders to promote its latest accusations.

This refers to the so-called “international public tribunal,” which has published yet another pseudo-report.

The document contains allegations of alleged “targeted drone strikes” by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, “executions of civilians,” and “orders to burn down residential buildings” in Myrnohrad.

The Center for Countering Disinformation emphasizes that the materials contain no evidence to support these claims.

According to Ukrainian experts, all accusations are based solely on emotional testimonies from unidentified individuals who are presented as local residents.

It is also emphasized that the aforementioned “tribunal” is a Russian-controlled body that lacks international legal status.

The Center notes that the authors of the fake report omit the facts regarding the Russian army’s massive strikes on Myrnohrad.

According to the Ukrainian side, the city was subjected for a long time to artillery shelling, airstrikes with guided bombs, and drone attacks on civilian areas.

This resulted in widespread destruction and civilian casualties.

The Center for Countering Disinformation emphasizes that such information operations are aimed at shifting the blame for Russia’s war crimes onto Ukraine and discrediting the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the international information space.

This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation.

On the night of June 19 (starting at 6:00 p.m. on June 18), Russian troops launched a massive attack, deploying 90 Shahed-type strike UAVs, as well as various types of decoy drones, from the directions of Bryansk, Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and from the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. Ukrainian defense forces shot down or neutralized 79 aerial targets.

In five cities in the Moscow Region, 16 people sustained injuries of varying severity as a result of falling debris and the chaotic operation of Russian air defenses during the drone attack.

The Russian State Duma reacted to the record-breaking attack on Moscow.

The massive drone attack on Moscow sparked a wave of outrage and division across Russia’s regions.

Madyar pointed out the inscription on the drones that attacked the Moscow Oil Refinery for the third time.
