Russian occupation forces launched a powerful strike with guided aerial bombs on the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv, completely destroying a warehouse and triggering a massive fire.
Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service are working around the clock at the scene, trying to contain the fire and clear the rubble.
According to local authorities, the nighttime enemy attack caused significant damage to residential areas and resulted in injuries among the civilian population.
One of the enemy strikes hit the city’s industrial zone, where commercial facilities are located.
“One of the strikes hit a warehouse building in the Kholodnohirskyi district of the city. There was destruction and a large-scale fire. Work is ongoing at the scene to extinguish the fire and clear the rubble,” the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Kharkiv Oblast officially reported.
An emergency response headquarters has been set up at the site of the strike, and the agency’s psychologists are immediately providing emergency assistance to local residents who are in a state of shock.
The situation is complicated by the fact that people who worked at the facility may be trapped under the rubble.
The regional prosecutor’s office noted that, according to preliminary data, a security guard was inside the warehouse at the time of the airstrike; contact with him has been completely lost.
Rescue teams are working to clear blocked exits and are systematically searching every square meter of the destroyed facility.
This was reported by the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.
