The "Yagotynske for Children" plant will resume operations at only 60% capacity following the Russian attack

The “Yagotynske for Children” plant is preparing to resume production following the Russian attack; however, in the initial phase, the facility will only be able to operate at 60% of its former capacity. 

This was announced by Serhiy Vovchenko, chairman of the supervisory board of JSC “Dairy Alliance.” Production of ultra-pasteurized milk is scheduled to begin in a month, while it will take at least another month to resume production of the line of fermented milk products. Despite the severe damage, the company is not considering relocating its production facilities to other regions due to the presence of a unique complex of packaging equipment.

This capacity limitation stems from the fact that the second strike completely destroyed the fermentation area and utterly devastated the new automatic CIP washing system, valued at over 600 thousand euros. A temporary solution for the plant is the surviving old washing station, which will be put back into operation after minor repairs; however, it is technologically capable of handling only 60% of its former capacity. As a result of the attack, debris also punctured a buffer tank and one of the fermenters, severed the low-voltage automation circuits and the steam and ice-water mains, and damaged gas equipment and high-voltage power lines. The finished goods warehouse and packaging lines were not damaged during the shelling.
