The spring thaw triggered a real surge in purchasing activity following the winter lull. Imports of used motorcycles showed a record jump, increasing by 303.7% compared to February figures.
Domestic resales also saw significant growth, rising by 160%, while the new vehicle segment grew by 154%.
This trend is explained by pent-up demand, as buyers traditionally wait for dry roads to finalize their purchases.
Many had planned their purchases back in the winter, arranging for delivery or looking for options to hit the road as early as the beginning of spring.
The biggest intrigue unfolded in the new motorcycle sector, where there was a reshuffling of brands at the top of the rankings.
The change in leadership was a clear signal of the transformation of consumer priorities in Ukraine. Today’s buyer increasingly chooses affordability and versatility over status or a big-name brand.
Now Ukrainians are looking for vehicles that can be used effectively both in heavy city traffic and on roads with poor pavement.
