Video: Drones Attacked One of Russia's Most Modern Oil Refineries
On the night of July 8, drones attacked the TANECO oil refinery complex in Nizhnekamsk, Russia (Tatarstan). Following the strike, a fire broke out on the refinery grounds, and a thick column of smoke rose above the industrial site.
According to monitoring channels, it was the TANECO complex—considered one of Russia’s most modern oil refineries—that was struck. Photos and videos showing smoke rising above the plant’s grounds have been posted online. Reports indicate that the fire continues to rage following the attack.
TANECO is one of the largest oil refineries in the Russian Federation. The plant produces Euro-5-compliant automotive gasoline, Euro-5 diesel fuel, jet fuel, liquefied petroleum gases, petroleum coke, bitumen, base oils, and other petroleum products.
OSINT sources note that this is not the first attack on the facility. In June, the complex was also struck by drones.
As a reminder, Russian forces struck Odesa—there are casualties, and infrastructure has been damaged.
The strike on Odesa was carried out with a missile equipped with a cluster warhead.
