The Ukrainian national team defender is now without an agent
Yukhim Konoplya, a defender for Donetsk’s “Shakhtar” and the Ukrainian national team, has officially terminated his contract with his agency.
Currently, the player is handling his employment matters independently, as his current contract with Shakhtar is nearing its end.
According to journalist Mykhailo Spivakovsky, the player is no longer working with the well-known Wasserman agency, which previously represented his interests on the international stage.
“Yukhim, who did not renew his contract with Shakhtar and whose interests were represented by Wasserman, is no longer working with that company. So, as they say, he’s a free agent. ‘Whoever makes an offer, that’s where I’ll go,’ says Yukhim,” the source notes.
Earlier, Spanish club Valencia showed active interest in the Ukrainian, with representatives planning to scout the player during European cup matches.
In particular, scouts hoped to assess the defender’s potential during his appearances in the Conference League, but circumstances did not work in the player’s favor.
In the Round of 16 matches against Poland’s Lech, Yuhim remained on the bench, and in the first quarterfinal match against AZ, he appeared only in the final minutes.
