Zelenskyy imposed sanctions on more than 120 Russians for attacks on Okhmatdyt and the energy sector

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed decrees imposing sanctions on more than 120 Russian commanders and nine religious figures involved in the aggression against Ukraine.

This is reported in the decrees on the president’s website.

The sanctions target long-range aviation commanders who coordinated massive missile strikes on Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure, including the attack on the Okhmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv, a high-rise building in Ternopil, and the Amstor shopping center in Kremenchuk.

Restrictions have also been imposed on commanders of the Russian Navy involved in “Kalibr” missile strikes, particularly on energy facilities in various regions of Ukraine.

Separately, sanctions were imposed on commanders of missile and artillery units who used Iskander-M systems to strike Sumy, Chernihiv, and the Kharkiv region.

In addition, representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church who justified the aggression and called for violence were also sanctioned.

Ukraine plans to share these sanctions lists with international partners to coordinate further restrictive measures.

Zelenskyy announced news regarding Patriot missiles following a conversation with the NATO Secretary General.

Prior to this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Bulgarian partners for this decision and noted that it will help Ukraine strengthen its air defense system ahead of the upcoming heating season.
