Iran has announced that it is opening the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping for the duration of the ceasefire in Lebanon.
This was announced by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Arakchi.
According to him, given the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage of all commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is fully open for the remainder of the truce period along the agreed route.
He clarified that the decision was coordinated with the Ports and Shipping Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
