Alfa Romeo names its concept Cuorerosso and will unveil it in Paris — Motor1
Alfa Romeo has named its new concept car Cuorerosso and will present it at the Paris Motor Show in France. The brand’s press conference, where the vehicle is expected to be shown, is scheduled for October 12 in Paris, Motor1 reports.
Name and teaser
The name Cuorerosso is formed from the Italian words cuore, meaning “heart,” and rosso, meaning “red.” Alfa Romeo explained that it combines red as the color of passion and the heart as a symbol of the connection between drivers and the brand’s cars. The company called the concept a “declaration of intent” meant to demonstrate its creative potential.
Along with the name announcement, Alfa Romeo released a teaser video. According to Motor1, it likely features an exhaust sound resembling that of a sporty V6 engine, although the musical soundtrack makes it impossible to discern the details. The video also partially shows a headlight: the visible fragment may indicate narrow lighting extending rearward, typical of a sports car with a low front end.

What is known about the concept
An earlier teaser showed the car from the rear at an angle. In Motor1’s view, the silhouette points to a streamlined sports-car body. Rear lights can also be seen in the new video, but it is impossible to determine their design from these shots.
Motor1 suggests that the sound in the teaser may belong to an engine similar to Maserati’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo Nettuno V6. Such a unit is already used in the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale. At the same time, Alfa Romeo has not disclosed Cuorerosso’s technical specifications or said whether the concept will become the basis for a production sports car.
The brand’s further plans
In May, Alfa Romeo confirmed plans to launch a compact crossover and a special model being developed jointly with Maserati as part of the Bottega Fuoriserie project. The new crossover is intended to complement the Tonale in the brand’s lineup. New generations of the Stelvio and Giulia are also expected, with engineers reworking them to allow the installation of internal combustion engines.
