Alfa Romeo to unveil concept for future models in Paris — Motor1

Alfa Romeo will present a new concept car at the Paris Motor Show in France in mid-October. The brand's press conference is scheduled for October 12, Motor1 reports. The manufacturer calls the new model a vision of the brand's future and a car Alfa Romeo fans have been waiting for.

Sports car teaser

Alfa Romeo has released only one abstract teaser of the concept. It likely shows the car from a rear three-quarter angle with a sleek silhouette. Motor1 suggests that it could be a sports model, although it is impossible to determine its type with certainty from the single image.

In a press release, Alfa Romeo said the concept was inspired by three elements: Italy, sportiness and the color red. According to the company, they are combined in a car with distinctive Italian styling and Alfa Romeo's signature design language, focused on the future.

Alfa Romeo's plans

In May, Stellantis presented a new strategy in which it identified Jeep, Ram, Peugeot and Fiat as its four key brands. The group's other marques, including Alfa Romeo, are to serve as regional or heritage brands.

At the same time, Alfa Romeo is preparing a compact crossover that will be positioned in the model range alongside the Tonale. The next generations of the Stelvio and Giulia are also expected. Motor1 estimates that they may not appear soon, as the models are being redesigned to use internal combustion engines.

Alfa Romeo and Maserati will also develop and produce special models. Motor1 suggests this could lead to cars such as the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale and Maserati MCXtrema. The publication also believes that the new concept will significantly influence Alfa Romeo's future design language.
