Audi unveils A2 E-tron electric crossover with a range of up to 645 km

Audi has unveiled the compact A2 E-tron electric crossover for the European market. The model's starting price will be £32,200, while its range in the corresponding battery and powertrain configuration will reach 645 km under the WLTP cycle. This was reported by The Verge.

Efficiency and range

The A2 E-tron is a compact rear-wheel-drive vehicle. According to the publication, in one of its configurations, the electric car will consume 12.8 kWh per 100 km. The maximum claimed range is 645 km under the European WLTP cycle.

The model's drag coefficient is 0.24. The Verge notes that this is Audi's first vehicle with such a figure. Flush door handles, air intakes, a fully enclosed underbody, and elements that reduce gaps around the wheel arches are intended to reduce air resistance.

Charging and interior

The electric vehicle will support bidirectional charging. Through an outlet in the trunk, the car can be used to power external devices and, if a compatible DC wall charger is available, to power a home.

The interior will feature a curved panoramic MMI display combining an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch central touchscreen. The model will also receive a Fidlock magnetic mounting system for accessories, including cup holders and bags for charging cables, in the cabin and trunk. Audi currently does not plan to sell the A2 E-tron in North America.
